I had a mixed feeling regarding this post, as everyone aren’t found of Rethink Desi, yes the term says it all its a Indo Western concept. I have been running my eyes over Cosmo Politan (referring to magazine) and I was impressed by couple of vivid indo styles and I thought why not give a try for it? Okay let me show a peek a boo of history so you have an idea about how it all started.
In the early 1960’s , was the time when Western fashion was appropriating elements of Indian dress, Indian fashion also absorbed elements of Western dress. This practice of merging of fashion continued throughout the 1980s and 1990s, as multiculturalism in fashion design took hold, with Western designers incorporating and creating different traditional Indian crafts, textiles and techniques. (yes I did a little research as I was much curious to know how it all started)
That was a good brief about the originality of the style, wasnt it? Okay getting back to my look, talking about the scarfs, couldn’t have asked for anything more than these colourful scarfs and mochadi by MOKSHA FINE WOVENS and ALEXBROWN.IN (You can find them on Instagram) I received three silk scarfs by them roma, Sharon , Wave & the mocadi respectively , in love with these mochadis they get going for any occasion.
